IBABALIK  ng Philippine Movie Press Club ang tradisyon na ang Star Awards for Movies ang unang nagbibigay ng parangal sa lahat ng award-giving bodies.

Sa Miyerkules, March 14 na ang “28^th PMPC Star Awards For Movies.”  Ito ay gaganapin sa Meralco Theater, Ortigas Ave., Pasig City ng eksaktong alas-5 ng hapon.

           "Mas maningning at masigla ang gaganaping Star Awards for Movies.  Mahigit na isang daang pelikula ang ipinalabas last year ang dumaan sa screening bago  nagkaroon ng nominasyon.  

“Pagpapatunay lamang na buhay ang industriya ng pelikulang Pilipino ," deklara ng Pangulo ng PMPC na si Roldan Castro.

             Ang mga host ng Star Awards ay ang mahuhusay na aktor at aktres na sina Aga Muhlach,  Derek Ramsay, KC Concepcion at Anne Curtis.

            Guest performers sina Erik Santos, Angeline Quinto, Jake Cuenca, Maja Salvador , Matteo Guidicelli, Pauleen Luna, Ciara Sotto, Rodjun Cruz, Gab Valenciano, Robert Seña at  Anja Aguilar.

            Kakarerin na talaga ni Anne Curtis ang pagiging singer dahil hahandugan niya ang audience ng isang fabulous opening number with the Maneouvers.

Bibirit  ng kanta at sasayaw ang Pinay-Australian actress.  Pero ‘wag mag-aalala ang mga certified singer kay Anne dahil aminado ito na hindi siya singer kundi isang performer.

            Ang Airtime Marketing, Inc., ang producer ng “28^th Star Awards For Movies” sa pamumuno ni Ms. Tess Celestino at ididerehe ito ng Direk Al Quinn.

            Igagawad naman ng PMPC kay Mr. Eddie Gutierrez ang Ulirang Artista Lifetime Achievement Award, na si Ruffa Gutierrez ang presenter; at si Direk Marilou Diaz-Abaya bilang Ulirang Alagad ng Pelikula sa Likod ng Kamera, na si Cesar Montano naman  ang presenter.

            Ang awards night ay mapapanood sa ABS-CBN, Channel 2, sa March 18, Sunday, 10 p.m.

Bagong hitsura ni Charice ang lakas maka-Aiza

PINAG-UUSAPAN ang bagong hitsura ni Charice Pempenco.  Ang lakas daw maka-Aiza Seguerra dahil gupit lalaki at may tattoo rin sa braso.

May reaksyon kaming nabasa sa Facebook.”Kung sino man ang nakabasa nito, this is a disaster.  Fashion police please... She’s a diva, not a rock star, and not also a lesbian.”

Pero mukhang komportable naman si Charice sa bago niyang look!

SA “The Witness,” na isang international  movie ay gumanap si Gwen Zamora bilang si Angel Fordeliza Isagani, a general manager of a hotel who has transferred from Manila to a Jakarta hotel.

She is haunted by strange dreams about a young man named Aris who attempted suicide by firing his own gun into his mouth.

Saan nahirapan na mga eksena si Gwen sa pelikula?

“Yung mga stunts, ako mismo.

“Yung nahulog ako from the second floor to the ground.”

May double naman daw siya…

“Kasi slow siya… may double yung mabilis (na eksena) pero yung slow, ako.  Pero parang hindi daw ata ipapakita yun kasi nagka-problem sa editing.

“Pero baka, there might be parts yata na ipapalabas.”

Paano siya napapayag na siya mismo ang mahulog mula sa second floor ng building?

“Kasi parang safe naman, e.  Kasi from the second floor to the swimming pool, hindi naman sa concrete ako babagsak.  Sa swimming pool ako nahulog so parang exciting, and I want to do that.”

Directed by Muhammad Yusuf and produced by Skylar Pictures and released by GMA Films, ipapalabas ang “The Witness” sa March 21 sa mga sinehan nationwide.

Hindi pa nagpo-pose for FHM magazine si Gwen.

“No, ayoko.”

Na-offer-an na raw siya.

“A lot of people asked, but no, ayoko.  If  I do FHM, naka-tuxedo ako!

“Sexy naman yun e, yung naka-tuxedo.”

Wala raw nagbabawal sa kanya na magpaseksi for a pictorial for the said men’s magazine.  Kahit raw ang GMA ay hindi siya pinagbabawalan.

“It’s more of a personal choice, kasi if I really wanted to do it, I’m sure they would allow me.  But I don’t really want to do it.

“There are still a lot of things that I want to accomplish bago ako mag-FHM.”

But Gwen is not closing her doors…

“No naman.  Maybe in the next couple of years.”

Nakapagpa-pictorial na naman raw siya dati ng sexy, wearing a two-pice swimsuit…

“Once. It was for Men’s Health (magazine), parang summer special last year.”

So hindi naman pala siya totally umaayaw sa sexy pictorials.

“Yeah, no naman!  Pero the way it was done was very wholesome.  Tapos hindi siya yung… parang mostly blurry yung nakikita.”

Inamin ni Gwen na mayroon siyang dine-date exclusively na isang non-showbiz guy.

Ayaw nang banggitin ni Gwen ang pangalan ng naturang lalaki.

“He’s a very private person.”

Sa tanong kung boyfriend na niya ang lalaking iyon…

“I don’t know. It’s complicated!  It’s complicated because of work… the point that I am in life right now parang… he’s understanding naman, e.

“He’s very understanding, that’s one of the reasons why I like him.  And he saw me from before showbiz to now so I have a lot of respect for him.”

Matagal na silang dating…

“Pero on and off.”

Ano ang nakakapigil para maging pormal na ang kanilang relasyon?

“I have other things to think about and work on before being in a relationship.”
