Barbara Barretto:  The new Brazillian in town

Like ang chicken adobo at ginataang kalabasa

THERE is a new Brazilian in town, Barbara Barretto.

Kung hindi pa namin nakausap si Barbara, hindi pa namin malalaman that Barretto, a Portuguese surname, is pronounced ‘barero’ in their country.

The 23-year-old,5’ 8” model is now in the country and is signed up with Viva Artist Agency for a three-year modeling contract.

First time niya sa Pilipinas but she’s liking it already specially ang mga food daw na chicken adobo and ginataang kalabasa.

Five years nang nagmu-model si Barbara as she started in her country when she was 18.  

Since then, nakalibot na ng halos buong mundo si Barbara with international campaigns for continental Europe, the whole of Americas including United States, Mexico and several South American countries pati na rin sa Asia particularly Singapore and Thailand.

Kararating pa nga niya lang sa Pilipinas, pasok na rin siya sa Bench campaign.

Bea title role na

Piloting tomorrow sa early primetime ng Tele Babad ng GMA ang “Alice Bungisngis and Her Wonder Walis.”

 It replaces another telepantasya na “Daldalita” that ended last Friday.

Directed by Mark Reyes, it stars Bea in the title role with partner Jake Vargas plus another tween pair Lexi Fernandez and Derrick Monasterio together with Jean Garcia, Sheena Halili and Sef Cadayona.

First time that all top pair of tweens have separate soaps outside of their Sunday teen show “Reel Love Presents Tween Hearts” na ipalalabas mamaya after “Party Pilipinas” as sina Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, Kristofer Martin and Joyce Ching, may “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin” naman.

Ang tanong na lang, ang kay Bea lang ang title role ng soap na pagbibidahan so wala kayang mainggit sa kanya?

Isa pa, primetime ang “Alice” at ang “ILAM,” afternoon lang.

BAGETS ends today.

Today marks the end of the TV5 teen show “Bagets Just Got Lucky.”

 Umabot ito ng full three seasons or thirty nine weeks every Sunday sa TV5 although papalit-palit ng schedule.

 Mamaya, ipapalabas ito after “Paparazzi.”

 The first two seasons were directed by GMA director Mark Reyes and the last season went to Elaine Lozano.

Even the cast have changed from first to second season.

It introduces AJ Muhlach and Aki Torio outside of their XLR8 group and also Nadine Lustre and Shy Carlos outside of Pop Girls.

Also starring Meg Imperial. First regular show din ito ng TV5 stars Eula Caballero and Rico Dela Paz plus it introduces new names Johan Lauren and Josh Padilla (in the first season), Aimee Heart (second season) and Matthew Andrews (third season).

Episode title of course is “Farewell.”
