1. My Girl
I enjoyed watching this 2006 romantic-comedy Korean drama.
I’ve watched it 10 times and I will never get tired of watching it over and
over again.
I love Lee Da Hae. This girl is very funny. She always reminds me of Kim Chiu who was
perfectly chosen by ABS-CBN to portray her role as Joo Yoo Rin in its 2008
Filipino version of the same title.
I also love Lee Dong Wook.
His captivating good looks is perfect for the
role as the stubborn Seol Gongchan who will do anything to fulfill his dying
grandfather's wish.
Lee Da Hae and Lee Dong Wook’s chemistry is very charming and lovable .
My Girl has no boring moments. You’ll die laughing watching this neither completely
melodramatic drama, nor an out and out comedy drama.
2. Full House
This classic 2004 Korean rom-com brings
together two people who hate each other but are forced to live under the same
roof.
It's also between a lowly writer, Han
Ji Eun (Song Hye Gyo) and the biggest star in Korea, Lee Young Jae (Rain)!
This drama served as Rain’s
passport to super-stardom.
Just
like My Girl, I will never get tired of watching this series over and over again.
Song Hye Gyo and Rain has an awesome
chemistry. Both stars
delivered brilliant
performances. Song Hye is very funny
here as well as Rain.
Those hilarious and sweet moments the
two have will give you a real belly laugh.
3. My Name Is KimSam Soon (2005)
The story
about an older woman meeting a younger man and eventually falling in love with
each other always generates interest from the female and gay audiences.
So much
more if the woman is not so attractive and poor while the man is not only extremely
handsome but rich, just like in the case of Kim Sun Ah as the
chubby 30-year-old pastry chef Kim
Sam-soon and Hyun
Bin as Hyun Jin-heon, the typical cold and self-confident 27-year-old owner of Bon Appetit restaurant.
This rom-com is bubbling over with funny ideas. There’s a lot of rib-tickling and kilig moments
with Kim Sam-soon and Hyun Jin-heon.
The
onscreen chemistry between the two protagonists is great which will make you fall
in love with their characters up to the very end.
4.
Princess
Hours (Goong)
Joon Ji Hun, Chae Kyung’s leading man, is another newcomer to the K-drama scene that has left me with a good impression as far
as his acting is concerned.
He portrayed his character Shin, the aloof and lonely Crown Prince, with flying colors.
He grows on you as the drama progresses and promise, you can help but fall in love with him.
This drama has a lot of funny scenes too and kilig moments that’s why it deserves to be my number four pick.
5. Coffee Prince (2007)
Loving a man, Go Yoon Eun Hye (Yoon Eun Hye), no matter what it entails made it hard for Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo) to accept that he is a homosexual because the truth is -- he is straight.
