6. Boys Over Flowers (2008)
I
don’t know why it’s always been interesting to watch a rom-com with the male
protagonist being arrogant and mean to his female counterpart and eventually
get out of his haughty shell.
Maybe
because a woman feels victorious to see the man she likes transforms from a
raging tiger to a meek lamb?
And
it’s always a plus factor if the sniffy guy is as cute as Lee Min Ho or as
fine-looking as Hyun Bin of "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon" or as delectable as Lee Dong Wook of "My Girl."
Lee
Min Ho’s interpretation of his character as the arrogant and hateful but
sometimes clumsy and cute Goo Jun Pyo is
one of the main reasons why I included this series in my top 10 list.
7. He's Beautiful
7. He's Beautiful
This is one of my favorite Korean dramas (rom-com genre). There’s a lot of hilarious and exciting scenes between Jang
Geun Suk (Hwang Tae Kyung) and Park Shin Hye (Go Mi Nam (Male)/Go Mi Nyu
(Female). No dull moments.
Definitely you’ll love watching the show!
9. Playfull Kiss (Mischievous Kiss or Naughty Kiss, 2010)
The series is enjoyable to watch. It’s light-hearted, funny and heartwarming. The lead stars (Chae Rim and Choi Si Won) onscreen chemistry is cute.
Oh My Lady may take on themes we already know, like getting involved through a contract and fell for each other in the end, but it’s an old formula that the Kdrama audience will never get tired of watching.
8. Personal Taste
Personal Taste or Personal Preference is just like the opposite of
Coffee Prince. Here, instead of a girl
pretending to be a boy in order to get a job she desperately needed, this time
a boy (Lee Min Ho) pretended to be gay in order to gain access to the girl (Son YeJin) who he believes the key to his success.
JinHo (Min Ho) rented a room in GaeIn’s (Ye Jin) house. This
started a series of hilarious moments between the two protagonists
9. Playfull Kiss (Mischievous Kiss or Naughty Kiss, 2010)
This Kdrama is for all the
young ones and the young once. It
brings back a lot of high school memories to most of us and gives interesting
insights to the now generation.
A lot of us can
sympathize to the character of Jung So Min as Oh Ha Ni, a dim-witted but funny
and pure hearted high school girl whose only dream in life is to be with the aloof
and introverted genius Baek Sung Jo, played by Kim Hyun Jong.
The fact that
the two protagonists are exact opposite in personality; and that the female
lead is always after the boy of her dreams (Baek Sung) while the male lead despises
her, makes the series so exciting.
And to make it
even more exciting and funnier, Baek Sung and Oh Ha Ni had to live in the same
house.
Playful Kiss will take you to a ride of roller coaster of
emotions.
You will laugh, you will cry and you will fall in love with their
characters.
It’s funny and entertaining. You’ll enjoy watching it over and over again.
10. Oh My Lady
There’s one scene which keeps me laughing
under my breath everytime I remember the series.
It’s when Sung Min Woo (Choi Si Won) had to hide Yoon Gae Hwa (Chae Rim) inside the bathroom because an unexpected visitor
came.
I wont give
you the details though. Just watch Oh My
Lady and you will never regret watching it, promise.
