Gov. Vi di binigo ang PMPC

BONGGACIOUS ang oathtaking ng bagong set of officers ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) na ginanap sa RJ Bistro, Victoria Tower, Timog, Quezon City nu’ng January 24, 2 p.m.

      Tuwang-tuwa ang PMPC officers at members dahil hindi binigo ng Star For All Seasons at Batangas Governor Ms. Vilma Santos ang imbitasyon ng organisasyon para sa kanyang harapan manumpa ang bagong PMPC officers.

Bago ang panunumpa sa kani-kanilang tungkulin ay nagkaroon muna ng munting programa hosted by Evelyn Diao, na isa ring PMPC member.

          Ang outgoing president, Melba Llanera ang nag-opening remarks.  Buong-puso siyang nagpapasalamat sa buong miyembro ng organisasyon sa tiwalang ibinigay sa kanya sa loob ng dalawang taon (2010 at 2011).

       Dumalo rin sa naturang event ang Star Builder na si Kuya Germs (German Moreno). Nagbigay siya ng mensahe hindi lamang sa PMPC kundi sa lahat ng mga naroroong press people.  Ganoon din ang producer ng “Star Awards for Movies, Music and TV” na si Tess Celestino.

      Maging ang National Press Club (NPC) president, Mr. Jerry Yap  ay personal na dumalo at siyang nagpakilala para sa guest of honor, walang iba kundi ang actress-politician, Gov. Vi (Ate Vi sa industriya).

Na-touch si Ate Vi sa pagpapakilala sa kanya ng NPC president lalo nang sabihin nitong “Si Ate Vi, ang platinum actress ng industriya na ngayon ay iginagalang na gobernadora ng Batangas.  Sa 2016 sana ay makita naman natin siyang sa Senado na nakaupo.”

Sa inspirational talk ng Star For All Seasons, nabanggit ni Ate Vi na golden anniversary na niya ngayong taong ito.

At kilalang-kilala na rin niya ang mga miyembro dahil nakalakhan na niya ang PMPC kung saan 46 years ito ngayon (naitatag nu’ng 1966).

Si Ate Vi ay nag-umpisang mag-artista nu’ng siya’y siyam na taong gulang pa lamang.

Pagkatapos manumpa ng mga bagong PMPC officers – Roldan Castro (President), Romel Galapon (Vice President), Jimi Escala (Secretary), Ador Saluta (Vice Secretary), Boy Romero (Treasurer), Blessie Cirera (Vice Treasurer), Joe Cezar (Auditor), Beth Gelena (P.R.O.),  at Board of Directors: Julie Bonifacio, Veronica Samio, Letty Celi, Ernie Pecho, Gerry Ocampo, Timmy Basil at Benny Andaya, ay nagkaroon ng contract signing para sa “Star Awards for Movies” sa pangunguna ng Airtime Marketing producer, Ms. Tess Celestino with PMPC President -- overall chairman ng “28^th PMPC Star Awards For Movies,” Roldan Castro at execom chairwoman Julie Bonifacio.

Gaganapin ang Star Awards sa March 14 at mapapanood ito sa ABS-CBN sa March 18.  Ibabalik ng PMPC ang tradisyon na ito ang unang nagbibigay ng award  at palabas sa telebisyon.

Nagpapasalamat din ang bagong PMPC officers sa lahat ng miyembro at mga past president ng organisasyon, mga kaibigang dumalo, ang talent-manager Lito de Guzman, comedienne-actress Chariz Solomon, talent-manager, Ricky Gallardo at ang entertainment editors ng iba’t ibang newspapers.

Pinasasalamatan din ng PMPC ang mga sponsors para sa importanteng araw na ‘yun – Glutamax, Afficionado, Hammerhead, Brazilian Coffee, Erase Placenta at ang F&G Tailors, headed by Jowan and Jun dela Cruz.
