WATCHING MACHINE: Mga Showbiz Personalities na tatakbo sa 2016 Elections!

NAG-UMPISA na ang filing ng COC o Certificate of Candidacy last October 12, na magtatapos sa Oct. 16.  Napag-alaman namin through various sources ang pagtakbo o muling pagtakbo ng mga kilalang showbiz personalities sa darating na 2016 elections.

Let’s start with those who’ll try for reelection:

Sen. Vicente Tito Sotto of the famous comedy trio Tito, Vic and Joey hopes to be re-elected in the Senate.

Son of Sen. Bong Revilla, Jolo Revilla, will seek for reelection as Cavite Vice-Governor.  

Reelection din ang drama nina Mayor Joseph Estrada para sa city of Manila at Mayor Herbert Bautista para naman sa lungsod ng Quezon City.

Sina Roderick Paulate at Charee Pineda ay tatakbong muli bilang mga konsehal ng Quezon City at Valenzuela City respectively.

Lucy Torres-Gomez and Alfred Vargas will run again for another term in Congress.  Si Lucy para sa 4th district of Leyte, while si Alfred para sa 2nd district ng Quezon City.

Among actors/politicians naman na tatakbo sa iba o mas mataas na posisyon ay nariyan sina Paranaque City Councilor Alma Moreno na tatakbong senador sa ilalim ng UNA ni Vice-President Jejomar Binay; Manila Vice-Mayor Isko Moreno na tatakbo sa pagka-senador under UNA pa rin at Rep. Lani Mercado of the 2^nd District of Cavite, na target namang maging susunod na mayor ng Bacoor City.

Kung si Cong. Manny Pacquiao ay gustong pasukin ang senado, Sen. Lito Lapid naman is eyeing the mayoralty of Angeles City.

Popular actor-TV host and erstwhile vice-mayor of Makati City Edu Manzano will also run for the Senate.

Former Pampanga governor Mark Lapid, now chairman of the Tourism Infrastructure and Economic Zone Authority will try his luck in the senatorial race. 

Susubukan naman ni E.R. Ejercito na muling maluklok as governor of Laguna after mapatalsik sa puwesto dahil sa isyu ng overspending.

Councilor Yul Servo will run for the position of Congressman in Manila.

Mula sa pagiging board member ng lalawigan ng Laguna ay tatangkain naman ni Angelica Jones na maluklok bilang Laguna vice governor under the Liberal Party.

Sa mga ngayon pa lang sasabak sa pulitika ay nariyan sina Ronnie Rickets, dating chairman ng OMB (Optical Media Board), na ang kongreso ang puntirya; Vandolph Quizon for councilor ng Paranaque City; Andrea Del Rosario na tatakbong vice-mayor ng Calatagan, Batangas; at Jhong Hilario na type namang maging konsehal ng Makati City.

Hindi na bago sa pulitika si Richard Gomez dahil makailang beses na rin niyang sinubukang tumakbo pero ang siste ay hindi pa siya nananalo.

Tumakbo siya for senator in 2007 but lost. 

Noong 2010 ay tumakbo si Goma as congressman of Leyte but he  was disqualified dahil sa isyu ng residency.  

Taong 2013 ay sinubukan naman niyang makuha ang puwesto ng mayor ng Ormoc pero hindi pa rin siya pinalad. 

Ngayon 2016 elections ay muli niyang susubukang masungkit ang matamis na oo ng mga Ormocanons.

Sa mga singers naman ay nariyan sina Ms. Imelda Papin na balak raw wakasan ang paghahari-harian ng mga Fuentebella ng Camarines Sur by running as congresswoman sa ilalim ng Liberal Party; tatakbo naman si Lance Raymundo as councilor of San Juan; at ang  singer na si Roselle Nava ay hihirit ng isa pang term bilang 1st district councilor ng Paranaque.
