MMFF Cinema Free Basic Filmmaking Workshop

Wanna join a FREE basic filmmaking workshop this Summer 2015?

We’re happy to announce that the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) NEW WAVE (Indie Cinema Category) will conduct its very first FREE Basic Four-Day FILMMAKING WORKSHOP on March 28-29 & April 11-12, 2015 to be held in the newly opened MMFF Cinema, MMDA Compound, EDSA corner Orense St., Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City.

This is OPEN to all interested applicants. Limited slots only!

If interested, you need to email the following to mmff.newwave@gmail.com:

1. one-page synopsis of a story of a film you'd like to make

2. one paragraph on why you'd like to join the workshop

3. your personal information

Please put in the subject box: "MMFF Workshop".

The MMFF New Wave committee will pre-screen the Workshoppers based on the quality of the submitted entries, since slots are LIMITED, and will advise everyone via email if they made it.

Each workshop day will be from 9am to 4pm, with lunch break and snacks provided.

For selected entries from the provinces, fare and accommodations shall be at the applicant’s expense.

This awesome endeavor, headed by MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino, is just the START of something “regular” (can be every quarter) – with the generic topic of FILMMAKING WORKSHOP.

The pioneer Batch must be COMMITTED to attend the said four (4) workshop dates, and for the succeeding Batches, topics / modules will be focused on different areas of Filmmaking such as Directing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Production Design, etc.

For the 1st Batch, we have Director Michael Angelo Dagñalan as Workshop Facilitator, with the following award-winning SPEAKERS:

1. Clodualdo "Doy" Del Mundo (scriptwriting)

2. Jon Red (directing)

3. AB Garcia (cinematography)

4. Ida Ceniza Tiongson (producing)

5. Lawrence S. Ang (editing)

6. Ericson Navarro (production design)

7. Ditoy Aguila (Ditoy-Lexi Aguila) (sound)

8. Michael Angelo Dagñalan (film production)

Deadline of application is on March 24, 2015, Tuesday, at 5:00 PM. No more entries will be entertaind after 5:00 PM that day.
