Recycled Gown on Historical TV Event,” posted on October 25, at pangalawa ay
ang “Insta Scoop: Liz Uy Makes Maine
Mendoza Wear Same Jacket She Wore Weeks Ago in Preview Photoshoot,” na
nailathala naman last October 29.
Ayon pa sa kanyang tweet, “It was an epic TV event. Any
local designer would have created a bongga gown from scratch” to which “Eat Bulaga host Allan K who was tagged in the post replied, “Wag na lagyan ng issue
yung gown.
(Maine’s Twitter account) deserves the best. Not from Francis Libiran’s 2013
collection.
In a post on her Instagram account, Uy explained why she
decided to file charges against Lim.
“As a former fashion editor, I was trained to uphold FAIR
and RESPONSIBLE journalism at all times. When I transitioned into celebrity
styling and accidentally became a public figure myself, I learned to embrace
that being scrutinized by the public is part and parcel of that position.
“However, sometimes things can be taken too far and place me
in a bad light, discrediting my hard work, my team, and my styling company. I
am not the first victim—many others have chosen to remain silent. I could have
done the same, but in the end, I realized that if we always let him get away
with cyber bullying, then he will continue to propagate untruthful claims and
malicious gossip on his blog and social media accounts.”
“It is sad that a public figure such as Liz
Uy decides to
file a case
against me. Her feelings of being wronged by my post was based on a
common truthful observation about her body of work relative to Maine Mendoza of
AlDub which people other than me also
pointed out. Is it a crime for ordinary people, bloggers, showbiz writers and
journalists to point out valid observations about those in the public eyes?
Style Bible:
“Maine Mendoza Wore the Gucci Jacket First” – Preview Mag
An incidental twinning is certainly not a mortal sin, but to
put this issue to bed once and for all, we’ll just go ahead and say it: Maine
Mendoza wore this Gucci jacket for Preview’s cover shoot before Liz posted her
own photo wearing the jacket.
Those who’ve had the chance to read the lengthy team credits posted in the captions of the cover images on our Instagram and Facebook will find that it wasn’t even Liz who styled the November cover. It was her brother Vince Uy, contributing creative director for Preview, who styled both Maine and Alden Richards for the shoot. The clothes worn by Maine, all from Gucci, were flown in exclusively for the cover shoot dated September 30, 2015.
Fashion Designer Released Statement About Kim Chui-Maine Mendoza Recycled Gown
Issue!
The gown was first seen when a fashion show was held at the
Edsa Shangri-la where Kim Chui wore the dress as a model for the 'Francis
Libiran Metrowear Icon'.
Then the gown was bought by Eat Bulaga Production to be used
in the concert for a cause held at the Philippine Arena.
Halos lahat nagsalita na kaya mabuti pang sagarin na
natin.
Twitter account, “no hate please?. a gown is just a gown… its how you make
people happy. I think that's more important. happy Sunday everyone!!spreading
